Its just dawned on me that Ive introduced a number of cumbis related items in this story without exactly stating what cumbis is, so for the record, CUMBIS (in its many forms) is that which can be most closely described as canabis. (more details later)

For now the thought is thus:

cumbis grain - for smoking or eating; commonly supresses appetite

melding candies - for eating; commonly causes relaxation in the body and clear focus in the mind.

Cumbis Beer - for drinking, commonly know to ease sleep

Other items that should be noted include:

Stoneberries - delicious fruit cultivated in the hidden city, commonly used to make wine, jam, and flavor confetti for celebrations.

Glowing Mushrooms - another gift from the hidden city commonly used as a source of light and heat. These living creatures glow with a burning red core and put off enough heat to melt the blacksmiths metals.

Bong-Flute - accidentally created by two brothers of Vatsos when they were sneaking through the healers storehouses looking for cumbis oil. A larger version of the pan flute with liquid filled basins for a deeper sound.

Skin Balm - created by the natural healers of Vatsos this topical salve is applied to the skin for common purposes of pain relief, beauty, and the three pleasure sets. Contains cumbis oils and mans seed among its regenerating ingredients.

Baruka Beer - made by the royal slaves of Frystotok this beer is hearty with its thick honey-like consistancy. With both sweet and savory tastes and its high cumbis content Baruka Beer is commonly known as a liquid nibble and is used to supress the appetite further while giving the drinker the feeling of indulging in a full meal.

Corn Bites - loaded with cumbis butter and salt these popped kernal snacks from Frystotok were a happy discovery when a shipment of corn was accidentally dried in place of sweet meats. The young foodee removed the hardened shells and placed the kernals in a pan of butter to see if the the corn could still be cooked. The boy ran as the kernals popped and flew around the cool kitchens. Later when he returned with his master the woman was so pleased to see the overflowing pan of nibbles that she hugged the boy and sat with him feeding him the delicious bites before odering him to make enough for the entire village.

Water Pipe - commonly used for smoking cumbis grain these pipes have a small water basin for smoothing the smoke befor it enters the long curved exit chamber.
